Well, we made it to Minnesota, and we've survived some damp, soggy, and thunderstorm conditions. The kids are doing great. Sam and Haley are doing great. They started day camp this week, and they are having an overall blast at Grandma's house. Haley was impressed that Grandma knows how to make malts. She didn't realize that they could be made outside of a restaurant...thanks mom!
These are just a few photos and 2 videos...more will follow as we enjoy our summer.
Charlie has gone scattered days with no diaper...all his idea. He even goes to the potty without telling us (until he needs help climbing down. Such big, and adorable, boy! Sam and Charlie got haircuts. I love seeing Sam's face again, and he's been having fun spiking it up in front and even into a little Mohawk.
We had a great day at the zoo. It's a 500 acre zoo, and they just opened a great exhibit with Grizzly Bears. Charlie and I took my 92 year old grandpa and our cousin Mark for a 3 hours tour today. It was gorgeous weather, and we didn't even get all the way through the zoo. Good thing we're members, and we'll go back many times this summer. Charlie has discovered the PBS show Zaboomafoo that stars a lemur. So when he saw the lemurs at the zoo he got so excited and started singing the theme song.
For all my Maui friends...At the zoo, they have a huge aquarium with sharks and tropical fish. Charlie picked out Humu right away, and it was the only exhibit he cried about leaving. As if he never gets to see an aquarium...we're there once a week on Maui!!
The first video is Charlie playing catch with my grandpa. Charlie talks about Papa all the time, and has loved hanging out with him.
The second video is my dad, Saba (Grandpa in Hebrew). He's from Poland and this is a game that he used to do with us when were kids. It translates into something about a mouse...
